It’s a new year and a brand new start for Twister, in every way.

After much discussion the band have decided to continue as a 3 piece for the foreseeable future until their debut album has been finished.

As long-time fans of the band will know, we have been jinxed from the very outset with several egotistical and non-committed guitarists who have caused the band huge problems in ways you cannot imagine, ultimately damaging the band’s name. So the band have decided to count on the only members that have been there from the start - Kieran, Tony & Baz - to finish recording our debut album.

Twister originally started out as a classic rock covers band as a means to gig and finance the recordings which any band out there will tell you isn't cheap. To that end the band have succeeded, with only a few tracks now left to record to complete the album, and with that Twister will no longer be a rock covers band - they will also no longer be known as Twister. With the new album will come a new name, a new lead guitarist, and the crossover from cover band to original band along with a new direction that has been long overdue.

For those of you that have been supportive of the band and stuck by us from the very start, and also to our newer fans, we cannot thank you enough. For this continued support we are taking what some may see as a different approach to releasing our music. Instead of holding out and making people wait for the completion of the album, which most bands seem to do, we are sharing it as we do it in a non-downloadable form through Facebook and the band’s own website, so our fans can hear it before they decide to buy the finished album when it's released.

In today’s musical climate there is no money to be made through CD sales or digital downloads, especially for an unsigned band. This is our thanks to you all and we hope you continue to enjoy our music and support us.

Appearing on the homepage of the band’s website very shortly will be the first 6 tracks of our album, some of which you have heard before and some you haven’t, including the 2 newest tracks “Devil's Highway” & “Bring It On”.
